we want to invite you to our upcoming ‘work action’ and summer fest at Tante Grete, Kunst und Baukultur e.V.!
Tante Grete, Kunst und Baukultur e.V. is an association taking care of an old pub and farm located in Spreewald, Lübbenau. We are a collective of people who aim to develop this project into a cultural centre and living space. At present we are working on renovating parts of the main house so it is possible to sleep, work and have residencies there.
WORK ACTION WEEK
From Sunday 21st July – Saturday 27th we are having ‘work action’ days and ask for your help and support. We will be doing everything from painting, cleaning, fixing walls, filling holes, repairing windows, cutting back weeds and building hedges. You are more than welcome to join us for all or only some of this time. There is an area in the garden for camping if you want to stay for longer, or it can be more of a day visit as we are not so far from Berlin.
The works days go from 10-17hr, and we will start each day with a introduction to tasks and the house. If you have heard about our project and are curious this is a great way to get to know what we are doing and also meet some of the people currently involved.
We are happy to provide lunch and dinner during the work days and ask for a small contribution per meal. The house and its amenities are still under renovation and the new bathroom will be finished in the upcoming weeks. We have compost toilets and a garden shower, and beautiful lakes close by.

– Please bring with you the following items for working: gloves, work clothes/shoes, mosquito spray for the later evenings

– Station Lübbenau – trains go often from Berlin. We can either pick folks up from the train station or it’s a 7km bike ride.
